Letterbox Love #7

Welcome to Letterbox Love, this is a UK meme, hosted by the lovely Lynsey at Narratively Speaking and inspired by The Story Siren's In My Mailbox. This post is a means by which to highlight the books we get in the post and beyond, and especially to bring attention to those books which may be sat on our shelves for a little while yet that we love all the same.

I've received some fabulous books recently and so it was definitely time to do a book haul to share them all!

I posted a video about books I got from the library, bought and was sent and so here's that for you. I'm not going to list all the library books here but I WILL highlight books that I've bought and received recently! I've included some of my Instagram shots of the covers just to mix it up a bit as well...

Books I've received from publishers...

From Simon and Schuster I received A Stitch of Time by Lauren Marks. This one is already released and sounds really interesting! They also sent me Hello Sunshine by Laura Dave. This comes out on July 11th so look out for my review of that one then!

From Mills and Boon I received another from the Mills and Boon Modern Girls Guide to Life: Growing Old Disgracefully. The last one of these was hilarious and so I'm sure this one will be too!

And from Penguin Random House I received The Friend by Dorothy Koomson. I can't wait to read this one. It was released in hardback and Kindle format on 1st June.

And then from Simon and Schuster UK I received the beautiful Chase The Rainbow by Poorna Bell. This book is absolutely gorgeous and I can't wait to read this story. This was released on the 4th May.

They also sent me a proof copy of Anatomy of a Scandal by Sarah Vaughn, this comes out 11th January 2018!

Books I've bought...

I've been to a couple of fabulous author events recently (post coming on these soon!) and so I bought a few new books so that I could get them signed at these events.

The first event was with authors Coleen Oakes and Brianna Shrum. I got copies of Queen of Hearts...

And Never Never. Reviews coming for these very soon!

I was also lucky enough to attend an event at my local bookshop, Tattered Cover, with Graeme Simsion. He's one of my favourite authors and so I was excited to get my copy of The Best of Adam Sharp signed too!

The library books I checked out the library are all featured in the video and pretty much all of them are in my June TBR too so do give that a look to find out what I've been checking out of the library recently!

What books have you bought/received/checked out recently? I'd love to hear what you're all reading!

This post is a means by which to highlight the books we get in the post and beyond, and especially to bring attention to those books which may be sat on our shelves for a little while yet that we love all the same.

When I returned to the UK recently I had some exciting books waiting for me, I did an unboxing video about these. I also received some books from  generous blogger friend when I met her for coffee in London, and of course I bought some books over the course of my visit! So here are the books I bought and received whilst I was in the UK, if I've already reviewed any of them, I'll put links to those in the post. This post is a means by which to highlight the books we get in the post and beyond, and especially to bring attention to those books which may be sat on our shelves for a little while yet that we love all the same.

I've got some more books to share with you and so it's time for another book haul!

I bought some books from Amazon this week. There are some books that I can't seem to get over here and so I had some books sent to my mum's house and then she brought them over last week when she came to visit-yey!

I bought The Troublesome Tiger by Tamsyn Murray which is the second book in the Tanglewood Animal Park series. You can see my review of the first book here.

I also bought Difficult Women by Roxane Gay because I was supposed to be going to an event with her and wanted to get it signed. Unfortunately the event was cancelled but I'm still excited to have a copy of this one for my shelf.

From the library I got The Hundred Lies of Lizzie Lovett by Chelsea Sedotti. I heard about this one on BookTube and so I'm really excited about reading it!

And from Netgalley, I received a copy of Laura Lake and the Hipster Weddings by Wendy Holden. I'm a big Wendy Holden fan and so I'm looking forwards to this one, it sounds quite different from her usual fayre...

And finally, another Netgally i received was The Escape by CL Taylor, I can't wait to read this one, I know once I pick it up, I won't be able to put it down!
