Review: The Christmasaurus (Musical Edition) by Tom Fletcher

The Christmasaurus is a story about a boy named William Trundle, and a dinosaur, the Christmasaurus. It's about how they meet one Christmas Eve and have a magical adventure. It's about friendship and families, sleigh bells and Santa, singing elves and flying reindeer, music and magic. It's about discovering your heart's true desire, and learning that the impossible might just be possible . . .

Review: Oh this book made me so happy, it was so much fun! I loved the added music with it and dutifully listened to each song when the tag in the book instructed me too. I think that they worked really well with the different sections that they belonged too and definitely added another level to the story!

William is such a lovely main character in this novel. He has so much hope and optimism. he is also a wheelchair user which you tend to forget as the book goes on until it becomes a bit of a plot point in the story. He has such belief in Christmas and Santa and I love that he gets such a special gift. Santa is beautifully illustrated in this novel and I think that this totally brings he and the elves to life. We also have the Christmasaurus who I believe may just be a dinosaur version of William he is just so sweet!

Like any true Christmas pantomime, this book also has its fair share of villains all of whom are wonderfully wicked! They all have their motivations for being slightly evil though and all add something else to the storyline. If you didn't believe in Santa before reading this novel, you'll definitely be a believer afterwards. It was so much fun and I wish I had had this when I had a class to share it with!

I've got some clips of the songs with the book in my reading vlog video which I will leave below once it is live today!
