My summer holiday reading!

It's here! The summer holidays are finally here. For me this represents a chance to sleep, a chance to see my family and a chance to catch up on all those jobs that I didn't manage to squeeze in during the term time. These jobs do kind of include reading.

Last summer holidays I read 22 books/audiobooks/novellas. I'm pretty pleased with that and told the kids at school exactly how many pages I'd read. This actually inspired some of them to get going with their reading, if I could do it, they could too.

Now I'm not going to be all like 'i want to top my reading goal from last year' but I do have a massive TBR pile, a massive list of books that I want to read this summer and so I thought I'd share a few of them with you.

Something I've not read a lot of this year so far is non-fiction and so I would like to read some of the non-fiction titles that are sitting on my shelf right now over the summer holidays. These include everyday Sexism by Laura Bates. The Wrong Knickers by Bryony Gordon and Hatchett Job by Mark Kermode.

Because we are doing quite a lot of driving this summer for our summer holiday I intend on listening to quite a few audiobooks in the car. I'm going to listen to Bill Bryson's the short history of nearly everything as he makes for a fantastic listen on a long journey!

I got a few library books out of the library as well and so I definitely want to read them!

I STILL haven't read Geek Girl 3 and so I MUST MUST MUST read that-I know that will make for an extremely pleasurable day as I love Harriet Manners soooo much!

I have What A Girl Wants sitting on my Kindle waiting to be read as well, I can't believe I haven't read this yet, normally in devour a new Lindsey Kelk the moment it hits the shelves!

Having just read Whree Love Lies by Julie Cohen-I now really want to read Dear thing so I'm definitely going to make that a priority this summer!

I also have 2 episodes of The Arcade to catch up on and I've heard they're really good so I'm looking forward to sitting down and getting back into the most dramatic shopping centre in the UK. I also have Ivy Lane:Summer by Cathy Bramley, so I'm thinking a day of novellas/serialisations might be in order!

I have tons of books from NetGalley on my Kindle that I know I need to get through and also some novels sent by lovely authors but if you have an suggestions for what can be added to my summer TBR then let me know. I know I'm going to be taking part in a readthon in a few weeks time so I'm sure there'll be another TBR for that and I'll let you guys know what I've read in a wrap up at the end of the summer!
